Skier's Marine was founded in 1995 by Rett Tyler while working as a full time career police officer. Since our inception we have grown to occupy over three acres on Highway 280 in Westover. We have never desired to be the biggest or flashest boat dealership because frankly that does not reflect who we strive to be. Instead we have grown our dealership at a pace that allows us to put each customer first and subsequently we have delivered over 800 new and used boats. With just one visit to our dealership it will be easy to see why the majority of our new customers are direct referrals from previous Skier's Marine buyers.
Company Time Line 1995: Skier's Marine was started out of Rett's home 1995 - 1996: Sales grew to 7 new Malibu's sold annually 1997: Moved to our Highway 119 location 1997 - 1999: Sales grew to over 35 boats annually 2000: Moved to our Highway 280 location 2000 - 2009: Sales to continued grow and now exceeds 80 boats annually
Our Philosophy
Skier's Marine was created to be a boat dealership like non-other in the state. We did not strive to be a large dealership but rather a place our customers can come and feel relaxed. We believe that if you take care of your customers then they will come back and tell their friends and family about the treatment they received at Skier's Marine. The majority of new customers come to Skier's Marine because of "word of mouth" advertising. This has allowed us to continue our growth and even save money on advertising cost also. Our philosophy has always been to manage our costs in order to keep our overhead low. We realize that by doing things that saves us money will save you, our customer money too.
